Good to know

The Lil' Red caboose is a warm, comfortable place to stay... terrific for folks relocating to the area; remote workers and also just the perfect place to retreat for a restbit. Stepless entry leads to an open and airy space. The Kitchen/Dining and Living area share one inviting, warm environment complete with a 55 inch Roku TV and breakfast bar which can also be used as a workspace. We offer folding tables to those who would like a dedicated workspace. A split bedroom plan offers additional privacy each with a full bathroom. All three beds have luxurious, high-end cool memoryfoam mattresses. In the back you will find a quaint, covered porch amidst lovely greenery, perfect for bird watching and quiet contemplation. The sunny front deck is exactly that... a restful place to bask in the sun. *Only minutes to multiple wedding venues and the swamp rabbit trail* All-Parks-Pass is included for free parking to the many local state parks.

Michael is a great host. He was very accommodating and always responded quickly. His place was very clean and close to town. The bed that we used was really comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with the basic necessities and even some spices. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again.

We were mandatorily evacuated from our home due to the Persimmon Ridge fire in our area. We have a dog and three cats and were not having luck finding a place where we could stay with all our pets until it was safe to go back home. Michael and Denise were willing to be flexible about our cats and were willing to open the home up to us immediately even while we were finalizing all the AirBnB requirements. (having never used AirBnB before!) They were a bright spot in some very dark days for us. We will never forget their kindness, responsiveness & care. That being said: for those of you looking for a rental for reasons other than a fire evacuation.. ;-) The Lil' Red Caboose is an older mobile home, but the furnishings are very cute and comfortable. The king-sized bed is very comfortable and we slept well there. Everything you might need for your stay has been provided. The hosts are very responsive and helpful if you have any questions or concerns! Good value for family/pets!
